Something that is a constant battle with some groups is homework.. Setting students a list of research tasks for completion during their self directed study time or at home has helped to overcome this issue.
How it works: create a varied list of tasks to engage students with different preferred learning styles. Allow choice and a variety of possible communication methods to demonstrate learning… Could they produce a report, blog, presentation or series of memes to demonstrate what they have learnt?
