Skype, telephone and F2F interviews | rowellc

I’ve just spent the last couple of weeks interviewing participants about my 12AoC course. The topic of the interviews was about the course and whether it had affected their professional practice so it wasn’t a sensitive matter. In total I did 13 interviews (one of them being a pilot). 6 of them were face to face, 3 of them were done on the telephone, 2 of them on Skype and 2 of them on Collaborate.

There are some distinct advantages of Skype/Collaborate. Its easy to record them, the 12AoC participant could fit an interview into their working day with minimal disruption and I was able to…
